Delmar’s team of mooring and geotechnical engineers provide geotechnical support in assessing site-specific soils conditions and determining the best foundation to be used for anchoring based on the application and soil properties.

Using the raw geotechnical data for a location, Delmar derives undrained shear strength profiles for use in determining the in-place performance and ultimate holding capacity under the specific design loads.

Hydrodynamics

The dynamic vessel response in irregulars seas is critical for making design and operational decisions. Using state of the art radiation/diffraction software, ANSYS® AQWA™, Delmar engineers determine the six degree of freedom motion response for specific hull shapes (Spar, semi-submersibles, workboats, buoys, TLPs, etc.)  and loading conditions. The calculated response of the vessel is captured in a database, forming the foundation for further job specific considerations.
